Hey Pu_rplecow,

I'm really not sure about the mechanics behind your creation, but heck! The modds look way too cool! I'm looking forward to this one. Keep it up man!

Actually, the most effective heat sinks are highly reflective so they don't reabsorb energy from other sources. That could look really cool, but would be a paint to get the paint down into the kit's fins.

Keep up the great work. I love the progress and can’t wait to see it done!

Thanks! I'll work harder on doing it up. Too busy now. Hmm.. I remembered something about spacecraft having fans in internal systems to help heat convection cos basically in zero G there's no "upwards" for the hot air to go. I forgot about radiation but i thought it was minimal. Thanks for the info! This should make those sinks a dark matt black then.

Dude WAY cool Qubeley project!!! I just finished test fitting the same kit. I’ll just do a straight candy apple paint job though. No where near as cool as yours.

BTW, There are basically three ways heat energy disperses. Convection, Conduction and Radiation. Heat sinks can and do work in space via Radiation. The NASA Space Shuttle deploys them by opening its bay doors and keeping the bay facing away from the sun.
