I’m trying this service over at www.flickaday.com where you take a picture of yourself using your webcam every single day. It comes with a calendar and allows you to upload one picture a day. In addition to my thoughts, maybe I can keep a record of how I look too.. Thing is the photos are on their server, I wish it could be contained on this blog so its more fully integrated. I’ve added to my about page

Argh.. I feel like vomiting blood.. been trying to squeeze all the JS in the website into a miniscule size. Managed to shed some weight off the pageload by consolidating and gzipping the js from 470kB to 211kB. Now I’m trying to remove the default prototype libraries..

Wha.. I’m so super impressed by this ajax toolkit at Zapatec. It makes so many things easier! All the coding and libraries already done for you. I shall have a year to learn it up then I can use it as a registration thingy for whatever I do next time.

I suspect these library things will be very hot in the coming days of more and more complex web applications. Why start from scratch when you can build on another’s work? This in particular is great for people who don’t want to learn javascript just to have some ajax functionality and convenience. Oh well.. Back to EE2012… Stats man.. stats! booo!!!

Well, now I don’t even need to go to benji’s page to see blog updates.. I use google desktop and get it right in my sidebar “live” along with my google mail and google talk twitter thingy. Speaking of google mail, it can now check other email adresses and fetch them to your gmail inbox!!! You’ll need pop3 though.. the only reason you’ll ever need to dump every other email you use in favour of gmail’s interface. Which of course if 1000000 times better and with search and ever growing space (2.8gb already hor!). Lastly is this little thing I found

Well, I’m quite fed up with the broken fuctionality of my own banged together franken-theme. I shall fall back on the beautiful K2 Varient, a 3 columned one. With archives and all.. but it only goes back 20++ pages. Looking to see why that happens. I can’t get ack to the very beginning of this blog. wonder why..
