While I do like to keep a record of what I do, its honestly getting abit too.. unspectacular. Its like a daily description of activities. Haha.. like
- 1100-1400hrs: Recording and lunch with david and eunice
- 1400-1500hrs: Walked around whitesands, borrowed library books on color and design
- 1500-1820hrs:Finished up most of buck’s site for real this time
- 1823hrs: find out I have project assesment on monday
Okay, now I’m freaking out. This time the mini project is like triple crazy hard la! I shall now go work on it. Boo… how to finish like this………… die already la.
Anyway, bass sets the finish time at 2hr15min for “Grace Each Day Renewed”. The altos have 1hr15min to do the second pass.. I think this one lose already la. Haha..

Well, did the 2nd last recording session with David and Eunice.. Last thing we need to do is background music. Kinda think we should record the script in church but whatever la.. it seems that we got 35 more hours in the studio? But I think that will run out pretty quick at the rate we are going. I also think I have too much on my plate and don’t want to record (and process) it.
Quick summary of things I signed up for:
- Buck’s Site (6hr)
- Patrick’s Site (3hr)
- Cantata Site (12hr)
- 3 more songs to process (2hr)
- Cantata Songs recording (108794738299437829628719hr) (okay okay.. 20hrs)
- Background music recording (3hr)
- Pastor’s Msg on Cantata CD — I’m definitely doing this (4hrs)
- Fix children’s ministry projector (1hr)
Grand total of 51 hours. Just a little more than 2 whole days of work. Oh man! Can anyone help me do something? I need to narrow down my skill sets further.
Anyway, I had a nice time at recording surprisingly.. probably because there is a standard operating procedure now and I’m more experienced. Shall post up some bloopers which Eunice will cringe at. Among those include confessions of David’s inner thoughts and Eunice whining pretty loudly. haha.. Stay tuned!
Lastly (I think), I also put all the projector cable into the trunking along the walls. I can’t really bash a hole in the storeroom door so I left it outside for now pending their decision to do whatever with it. I have to turn up on Saturday if I cannot get a second (third, counting the downstairs one) projector.. I really REALLY hope kim has an extra projector. sigh… I cant imagine dismounting the projector and putting it back, makes me wanna puke. People make it sound so simple but its really like so super troublesome. “Only a few screws right?” yeah right.. YOU missing some screws ah.. I have to take out the entire thing from the projector. Prob 15 min to take down and the same amount to put back up. All for 2 hours of video upstairs only. Tell ppl don’t mount already don’t listen.. now want to dismount and use.. pui! I always feel like saying “I told you so” but that frustrates me also.
Oh well, I’m tired.. need to sleep. I sent Eunice back (birthday what..), too tired to go drive home (Not so safe and I’d be leaving in like.. 7 hours anyway?!?!?) so I came over to NUS to sleep in ZG’s room. Does that sound reasonable to you? Well, it doesn’t to people who matter. Rahhhhh.. today no good la. Shall just rot in my 5 hour lecture tomorrow, go home and get scolded for nothing. Ta..

Recording voice is totally different from piano. Its so painful. Sigh.. I will never never ever want to sing again, just been feeling that music is a very “extra” kinda thing, sometimes feels pointless and excessive.

Okay, other than the Focusrite Saffire LE

I bought a pair of earphones today.. goodness, they just sound so great! A pair of these MylarOne X3 earphones are relatively cheaper than anything that produce the same sound quality and insulation. Its so quiet in these earphones that you can’t hear anyone talk once you put them on and have some music coming out of them. The great thing about such a high amount of insulation is that it allows you to listen to your music at very much lower levels than normal so you don’t spoil your hearing. Here are some pictures..
