Dreary Day

Woke up at 830 and went for breakfast with William so I could pick up his bike and go cycling with Bernice. The bikes were abit too hard to ride for her so in the end we cycled only to tamp to buy some guitar strings, eat, then dropped off the bikes (mine and William’s) back at his place and then took mrt down to the peninsular plaza place with lotsa guitar shops. I bought that little peg that holds the bottom of the folk guitar strings and a set of strings home to make my only guitar playable again then went to eat lunch at adelphi at cafe divine again!

Me and William have decided to go busking. haha.. shall go to esplanade library to photocopy some fake books and play some old old songs. I’ve got some pictures.. Bernice got a piece of jelly at tm.. Its the same color as her bag! haha.. and I saw some incredible guitars at davis guita, opposite peninsular plaza. There’s one in the shape of a heat hawk and another in the shape of a rifle! haha.. Got doraemon and all also.. incredible.

Photodump - Super Messy Room Edition!

Well, I packed it up abit! spent a whole day yesterday. Tried to do a photomerge of my half cleaned up room like the messy one but somehow merging 9 photos can’t be done even after half an hour of my computer working on it. Weird.. But here it is! Sigh, I’m kinda bored without YX. I think I’ve forgotten what its like to be single.

Restful Day..

Not restful in the sense that I didn’t do anything, I swam after I woke up.. then came back home to change the light in my sisters room, then now i’m going to shower and then go sleep. I read Isaiah 55 today, because I’m doing scripture reading this sunday on Isaiah 58. I particularly noted Isaiah 55:7. A thought is just beyond my reach now.. can’t remember what it was but it was comforting.

I was just telling YX today how I can’t imagine us together because it just seems so much more buddy than romantic.

Anyway, off to shower I go!

Colour My Life

Painted josh’s place today. Oh how I ache! I think its mainly because of the weights and general strength building exercises I did just now. I shall do.. something tomorrow. I don’t know what yet, but it’ll be something. I feel so unaccomplished. haha.. I need to get more things done!

Cantata recording is going to be about 3 times a week in june. Apprehension is the word. I don’t feel like learning all the songs, they’re just too complicated. The thought of singing over and over and over again is also disconcerting. Sigh. I need some godly motivation to do all these mundane and unexciting (they used to be but not anymore) tasks. I think I like to learn new things, do them to a decent level then find something else to do. Doing them too much makes it boring. I wonder why..

Thoughts and Discussions

Visiting Ben

I went to visit benji along with David Ong during after our trip to the Wilds which I kept quiet for quite a few reasons that I see as not important anymore. I think I should at least get it out here so people who will read it can read it and I can share some of the blessings I obtained there. Its long, culminating in a lengthy sermon I wrote in the plane on the way back, essentially compressing the conference they had there into one one sermon. Take time to digest, flip though the bible yourself to see if I have made statements which are amiss and feel free to clarify. I’ll update again with photos. but first, Click on”read more” to.. uh.. read more

Last day at the Wilds

Well, its been really quick. Bought lotsa music, sang lotsa music, heard lotsa sermons. Its really all flying past me here and I hope I can take the rest of my break here to mull over whatever I’ve heard.

Anyway me and david took the giant swing today.. about 5 storeys high kinda thing where they winch you up one side then release you. Its a super rush, just started laughing and laughing, they must have thought we were crazy. David says we were the “flying chinks” act but we don’t know if they frown upon racist inuendo so we didn’t say it out loud.

*Mrs Mincy just walked past to her room*

Anyway we’re gonna fly out tomorrow morning pretty early so we’re packing tonight. David just walked in with another pile of music 3 fingers thick. We’re going to have problems with the weight limit soon. My luggage was at the limit when I came here, now its going to exceed. Haha..

Going for dinner soon, have a great time back home. I’m already starting to want to be home. Its kinda boring (and annoying *shhhh*) to be with the same person every single day. Another interesting thing is I heard the “your english is real good” comment made at david. So, *puts on thick american accent* I told him that I don’t like to put on the accent and their eyes opened abit wider and they looked kinda suprised. Kinda silly how they think an accent makes english good or bad. The grammer, language and vocab decides how good your english is right? Anyway I’ve to go for dinner already, tardiness doesn’t exist here and usually, people here are early the amount people are late back home.

awwright yaawl, awl just ‘ead fer dinner now, see ya later.

The Wilds - Day 1

Okay, I’ve reached the Wilds! It was a smooth trip here, other than the disgusting security checks. Feels so troublesome. I’ll update another time, need to make some ultra last minute travel plans.

Oh yes! Forgot to say, I saw Mrs Mincy. Will snap a photo when I’m free.. Anyone wanna say hi? Just ltag or email me or something.

Some photos to appease you for the moment…

{The_Wilds_Day1} Sandra! I ate your chocolates for breakfast!{The_Wilds_Day1} David and Me at Airport{The_Wilds_Day1} The same van that took me here the last time I think.. A nice guy called Will drove it{The_Wilds_Day1} The hall that they don't use anymore I think.. The one we used the last time.

Update - 1857hrs

Well, turns out the main meeting area also has a wireless network connection! Thats going to be so interesting. Also found out they record the messages in MP3 format now so no more crazy heavy and bulky tapes! yay! People are still filterng in. David kinda lost his bible and has gone back to the eating hall to look for it. Ate stuffing, mashed potatos, turkey and some kinda corn bread. It was salty and really nice. Sat with a bunch of people who happened to support the Delanys!

People Met so far: Cheryl Webb, Mrs Mincy.

Okay, I’m too lazy to upload one by one. Get the zip file here.

One thing i forgot to say is that while at macy’s, I bought a 19USD levi’s jeans for myself. Thats cheap man!

We decided to have some kimchi or korean food at korean central because we got back to the hotel early (we were scared of being mugged with so much shopping and we need to pack for an 0830 flight!) and we sumbled on a very good restaurant thats only been open for 2 months. The lady was nice and friendly.

Thats it for today, we’re just packing up and doing some ironing for tomorrow. Might not have any connection for the next 5 days at the wilds, or at all for the rest of the time because I don’t think we’re coming back here to stay. Might wanna go to some nature place. Depends.. we’ll see how. I’m going to pack pack pack.

Before I forget, I’m thankful for quite a few things again today.

1) We’re travelling alone (again)
2) We managed to get what we want and needed
3) We found that good korean food place
4) We’re leaving to the wilds tomorrow, meaning we can let our guard down and relax and not think about what to do for the next 4 days.
