..and hearing by the word of God. I’ve put my phone to good use and dumped some sermons in. I’ve done 2 in the last 2 days.

Its quite good cos in one MRT ride I can finish an entire sermon. The forgiveness and unforgiveness one I downloaded accidentally but stirred me abit because just a couple of weeks after I said I seem to have nothing between me and anyone else around, it seems that the devil always tries to find new people for you to dislike and from that little seed of discord and unsettled business grows into a big big tree which bears hate as its fruit.

Oh well.. Otherwise I had a funny time out with (in order of appearance) rachel, esther, darren, jem and char.Went to gelare to sit down a while. I must say its quite waste time la.. on par with uh.. recent events. ahaha.. Also, I was so so so tired on the way there it was bad. It was probably the sushi I ate with zegang and jonathan for lunch from 3-5. Pictures below! Taken by my phone. Olympus called.. told me camera will be ready by the end of the week. Ah! I’m so looking forward to that!!! I miss taking pictures with a proper camera!

Ate high tea with my family, pastor’s family, dawn, david and cc.

I had a funny but wonderful day.

1. Went to church, sermon about spiritual gifts was familiar but still, good listening. I have to go back and hear the end. was totally stoning. Not sleeping, stoning and daydreaming.
2. Had another funny time with Ming Yong and PS. went down for a drink during sunday sch when I actually intended to study at macs. We had a good chat. Makes me feel more realistic and down to earth when you talk to them who have been working for quite a number of years.
3. After that I went back to church for rehearsal.. ended up taking lotsa photos for the cantata publicity. Its tough.. but I hope the concept will come out soon this week.
4. Did FBI.
5. Had alot of things in my head, made some weird choices and statements to various people through the day.
6. Went for dinner with david, cc, mom, dad, dency at a japanese restaurant at vivo.
7. Discovered PAGEONE. Its ultra cool!!! so many design resources.. all sitting there on shelves to read.
8. Tire was completely flat on driving out. Quickly changed tires and got back on the road. Volvo is a wonderful carmaker. Totally idiot proof tire changing stuff.

Yep, that kinda sums it up. I have a lab in the morning, going to ask some questions and try to complete my program. Sigh.. its really so TOUGH. Then after this if i’m not wrong we’re going to program the chip directly! oh man.. so cool.. if only the language and logic was not so hard.

I have to achieve personal holiness. At least, to whatever extent is humanly possible and leave the rest to God. Of course, which effectively means leave everything to God. Then again, some free will is required right? I dunno la.. just know if I don’t do that, I’ll forever be relegated to just doing these mundane technical nonsense in church which contributes, but in and of themselves has no real use/value/purpose. I want to be a part of the ORIGINAL functions of a church. Discipleship and Evangelism. Over simplification? maybe.. but in essence, be directly involved in these two.

For the first time I’m saying it out, discipleship is on my mind: both getting and giving it. Nothing can take its place.. not bible study, not youth meetings. It doesn’t have to be formal but I’m looking to achieve the above before embarking on this thing. I don’t care how long it takes to prepare me.. a third of my life is over, I want the other two to count. How about you?

Wha.. I feel like so nothing to do. Nothing is happening online. No feeds to read, no mail to read, no sites to visit, no show to watch. I shall go sleep. Have to get up at 6 to get out of the house at 630 so i can reach sch at 8.

I am so not driving to school if i can help it. Today, i was like so despo to get to school in time that I drove. I wasn’t late as far as driving is concerned.. but I really REALLY wanted to get to this tutorial. How studious of me. I pumped a full tank today. haha.. wallet goes ouch. I’m going to try to see how far this car can go on one tank by driving and not hititng more than 2000rpm before I hit gear 5. its like.. *2000 rpm change gear* *2000 rpm change gear* *2000 rpm change gear* *2000 rpm change gear* then travel at less than 90 or even 80 if the mad traffic in Singapore allows me to. That day I was in like, the leftmost lane and the mad drivers around were like forcing me to 80 already la! Thats really madness. I wonder why is everyone so in a super rush. Increases stress and accident levels.

Anyway, I had dinner with YX. I feel like I haven’t like.. dated her in a while. Yes, we see each other alot and no, I don’t think I spend alot of time with her. Things have been in a constant changing state in my life. I can’t really help it and adapt properly.

Oh well.. off to sleep I go! I really want to study hard. I should continue to read bible, the FBI readings are not enough. I hate the wilmington’s guide though.. takes sooo long to read and find where to start and stop. Can’t bring it around too. I spend so much time in the train I always finish the whole weeks bible readings in one ride. How gross is that?

Went douby Ghaut fish and co for zg’s bday. Made him a big ball of titbits for his birthday!

Breakfast

I ate with Nazir.. woke up early at 0715 to go la! Anyway, I reached there at 0835. Mom sent me to MRT then I took from there.. managed to get a seat and kept dozing off all the way there. Its cool to catch up!

Lunch

I had lunch with Daniel at some porridge place (check out the food map). Went for some Zhi Cha.. Oh man, they had crispy gu lo rou.. It was power! the last time I ate crispy one was in J1 opposite TJ that market la! We talked abit about ministry. I’ve been recently bogged down by the recordings and so we talked about that among other things. How our primary responsibilities like family, work and school should come first, then any extra time should go to church. Placing God first in my life would mean doing my work well and then if I can, serve in church. Not because study is more important, but because it IS my service and ministry. Honestly, I guess its because church is a nice social environment and I like working there but I shouldn’t place my social need above my primary duties. Yes, it sounds wrong but give it a little more thought? I think this is an even harder road than just being in church with friends all the time and getting stuff done without first settling home and family first.

Dinner

Ate with sister. We bought camera for her collegue and then headed to marina to pick up her lost ATM card from the store, then went to pizza hut at suntec to eat the cheesy bites and a garlic bread! The pizza grew smaller! so upsetting. After that she dropped me off at the shuttle bus place at carrefour and then I waited for my parents then came back home with them. Oh yes, I walked the dog too.

Night

I decided to spend less time on this blog. Now I’m typing like a madman. It kinda doesn’t help when 2 rows of keys on the stupid keyboard suddenly decide not to work for about 5 mins. I have no idea why it does that yet, but it seems like 15-20min after I start up it does that. Strange. Anyway, 15 min tops for 2 posts!

I was looking forward to good steak the WHOLE afternoon until I got there! Then.. it was pretty gross. I mean, I’m quite happy that finally some restaurant managed to cook a steak more rare than I wanted.. but this was ridiculous! It was RARE. Not really bloody, but so rare it was purple in some areas! oh man.. then Mine was supposed to be medium and YX’s was medium rare.. but mine was like.. rare and her’s was medium! I think they cooked me frozen steak. Why else would the thing be so rare in the middle?

Blah.. I wasted some good money and worse, plenty of calories I could have consumed somewhere else. I could have eaten the parklane won ton mee just beside! I’m so sad. Anyway, I finally met Christina’s BF Hardi. It was quite funny cos he’s a jaded teacher as well. Without saying more.. here are some pictures from the day.

I going Astons at east coast road to eat later with YX and Christina(pri sch friend) and her BF. The reviews look good.

I went out with my JC classmates for dinner because Yulun was leaving for australia again. I must say the group has become smaller. Kinda funny each time because different people go, sometimes bringing their better halves. I must also say work has caught up and overwhelmed many of them. Quite tragic as life takes toll on things like meetups and friends.

We met up at marmalade pantry. Its really quite good and I must say I’m quite impressed.I had a ribeye in bread with wasabe mayo and onions. The chips on the side were more like potato chips but of different kinds.. not potato. A nice salad with vinegar on the sidehelped me ease into the meal. I had one of mark’s club sandwitches too.. he couldn’t finish it. Lastly, I got an apple crumble. Absolutely fantastic I must say. The crumble was crumbly and crispy. The ice cream was just ice cream. The apple in the crumble was really soft and sweet. Ahh.. so nice. Photos shall speak.
