Just some photos. Don’t know what but I feel abit numbed and strange cos its back to slacker life again. I kinda hope I get a call tomorrow telling me I have my job. Meanwhile, its day after day of I don’t know what.

Today I spent most of my day with Oswald. Finished our work together in the morning which involved climbing roughly a total of 30 storeys each with all kinds of boxes furniture and stuff. Up and down and up and down.. my legs were trembling in the afternoon after we got done at 1230. Ate lunch at the curry rice stall at maxwell.. sooo good. Then we went sls to buy a router, BK to wait for the rain to stop and then sungei road and the antique store opposite raffles hospital/medical center.

Its nice talking to him cos we are very different but still have worked closely together before as musicians. I also always find it amusing to find that he’s related to Alvin and Stanley. So to give him a feel of what I felt like I told him I was related to the other Alvin.. haha.. and then he understood.

Anyway it was back to home for dinner for both of us. I hurried out to sell a Canon Snappy 20 at Eunos then came back to sell the Saitek joystick at my place. It’s pretty good that I managed all this, I’m quite happy that people bought stuff. I still have quite abit of stuff to sell but I guess it’ll be slowly slowly. I gave up on the LOMO LC-A and am going to send it in for repair tomorrow at sunshine plaza. I’m wimping out because I don’t have the parts for it, anyway even with the repair I don’t think I’ll exceed market price. So much for an easy fix..

I still have quite a long way to go. Tomorrow’s going to be a short day I think. Maybe I’ll get a call.. I need to cast my nets wider for a job.. but I don’t know why I don’t want to. Perhaps I want this one too much. hahaha..

Days are still Good to me. I usually start at 10 then carry on from there. Today was no different. Snapped some pictures, then met YX for a short while. Probably head for dinner later together. I’m still searching for work, lets hope something turns up soon.

I stayed up all night for the first time in a long long while. Haha.. had a rather entertaining time actually and the following day was a reminder as to why I don’t do it anymore. I carried on to attend the airshow evacuation and emergency response exercise thing from 11-4 and my head nearly exploded by the time I reached home at 5pm. It was splitting headache kind so I slept all the way to 3, then all the way to 9:30.  I further cleaned up my room and made a “to sell” pile and tried to throw as much stuff as possible. My room is rather spacious if I minus everything inside it.. lol.. Oh well.. “Hannah came in and said “Kau fu.. I got no space to walk..” haha.. so that kinda describes the room now. I’m making enough room for a sofa that doesn’t exist or is available just yet. Hopefully a reading area I can make.

As a side note something that stuck from before camp is that I’m also reading much less google reader now and the stuff piling up (1000++) is a reminder as to how much stuff I used to read. hahaha.. I usually just click on the blogs I want to follow like this and then skip the rest. Time saving! heh.. now to carry on doing something with that time.

Had a great time at camp preparations. Kinda missed Hannah though. As I was going out she was coming in and when she saw me she was like super excited and ran to hug me. hahaha.. oh man. Then I didn’t feel like going out already. Anyway, I’m attending my first indian muslim wedding tomorrow. Interesting is the word. haha.. I don’t have any malay friends at all! other than NS. And this guy’s indian muslim so he doesn’t really count. Super weird la, I feel like I’m missing out on great malay friends. lol.. okay going to rest now. Finding out the location then going to sleep. Looks like its along the NEL! super awesome. Haven’t visited google reader for 2 days. haha..

So after a day out and about I’ve come back home, ran 2k and ended up spending quite abit of time on the computer. of course, in between I cleaned up a lens as well. Total time about 1hours here. Not too bad. I’m just here to log my progress and today’s happenings which was really quite nice and queer.

I got up at about 8 today, left the house at 830 and went over to YX’s.

Opened up the present and left at about 1030 (waiting for her mom to come back with the car) then went over to hatched for a nice eggy breakfast. The food there isn’t spectacular, neither is the service but it was still pretty nice.  I managed to get very nice shots at the window-side seats where we were.

Then since we were at bukit timah, we thought of going to the botanical gardens! Just to take a look around and to catch some more snaps. I didn’t bring a tripod so I stayed behind the camera all the way. It was an interesting walk.. went all about, to the cool room, the symphony stage and evolution garden.

It was getting pretty warm so we left for cooler pastures and thought to visit Cheryl at her V for Vase exhibition. She so happened to be on duty to jaga the exhibition.. how coincidental is that! haha.. So we got to see all kinds of amusing concepts of vases and stuff. Took some snaps. Again. Why not?

She finished her shift at 330 and we went over to ion where Cheryl got some sweets for YX! and we walked around for abit getting stuff done. Picked up YX”s watch, wandered around for abit more at borders then went to black angus for dinner. For the first time in my life, I think I left quite abit of food untouched. Wah man, either getting old, feeling fat or both. Still, I quite enjoyed it. A little over-done though. Ate nice vanilla ice cream with brownie, sent her home, took bus back to my home and called it a day. It was a really unscripted, pleasant and enjoyable day.

With my academic life effectively. Finished up my FYP presentation at about 12.40 and then went for a nice lunch at Joe’s Kitchen Thai Cuisine with my brother. The honey chicken and the olive rice are really great! Should go try, just that its quite troublesome to park.

Went over to vivo to read read.. there was this book i found very good just a week ago but today when I returned it got sold out. I can’t believe it. hahaha.. next time I should buy right.. then I was thinking.. so many books are so nice, can’t possibly buy them all.

Anyway, its been such a long tiring day. Now at FBI. haha.. Going to go out a little longer then go back and crash. tomorrow got presentation in the afternoon but not by me.

Today was so long that I thought stuff I did in the morning was yesterday! It went like this.. last night I felt like I needed more time to do stuff so after chatting with YX on the phone till about 1:30 I went to sleep and got up at 530! haha..

So what happens at 530 in my house? For one, it was REALLY HOT. I don’t know why but it was sweaty hot. So I got up, went down and found my mom already awake reading. I shower, and start on my FYP stuff. Tragically I realise my findings are nothing really very interesting today and I haven’t actually got alot done. So on it goes until about 630 when I decide I should take some photos of my place from the 17 storey HDB nearby. I walk there, take this picture and come back down.

So I come home, try and get some work done and finally get too tired at about 1130 so I nap till 1230 and find Hannah in the house when I get up and my parents returned from their anniversary breakfast. Drove to school and dropped my sister at vivocity for a lecture from 2-4 and then head back home. Head out for dinner with YX (oooo… olive rice at thai express I like..) then come back home.

Feels like too little for a 20 hour day! Anyway, I just did some work and tried to find out how people achieve those film effect on their photos.. I also have yet to discover how they do the super vibrant photos which are so soft and pastel like. I found a photoshop action and tested it out.. here are the results.. pretty nice and arty but not exactly film-like. Nice though. Here’s an emo shot.

Off to bed for me! I’ll go hunt somemore actions and stuff down and eventually learn to do it myself. Goodnight one and all!

The National Museum of Singapore is really quite an interesting place. You’d probably take a couple of hours to finish going through everything in detail. I only managed to go there from about 1-2am.. one hour is just not enough. Anyway, I was there so late cos after the Night Festival with wonderful fireworks (stupid show and numbing music though) we walked about and chanced upon a screening of 881 at th NMS afterwhich we wandered into the museum which was free admission for these 2 evenings. Go if you can! Its really an eye opener! haha.. at least for me.

After seeing this guy I was hit by a bout of Gear Acquisition Syndrome last night and thankfully it was only temporary (I think). I went to peninsular plaza today to just looksee looksee and I saw a few things that were on my (unofficial) list.

1. Epson RD1 (MY GOODNESS ITS AMAZING BEAUTIFUL AWESOME LA! YOU SHOULD SEE THE DIALS MOVE.. ahem.. *regains composure*)
2. Lotsa leicas (in particular the M6 caught my eye..) – too expensive
3. The Olympus OM1 (That I’ve been eyeing for cheap over ebay because its so pretty and small) – too small.. can’t even fit in my hand. haha..
4. A beastly 55mm f1.2 nikkor lens – $500..
5. Contax G1 – What? another type of mount??
6. Hassy – too expensive

So after the walkabout, I didn’t even feel like buying anything anymore la. hahaha.. was just happy with the Minolta I already have. Then I also thought to myself that I should be taking more photos instead of looking for new and pretty gear to play with. Managed to move the counter to 26. About 12 more shots to finishing this roll of velvia!

Headed to Plazasing and managed to walk an entire round of the shopping center before my mom appeared. Thought I’d rather buy a soprano sax compared to getting a camera. Took the car home, now waiting to go Yixuan’s bday dinner at east coast. I’m tired! and stomach’s weird. Shall go shower.
