Today half of my better “outside” gal friends got married. It just goes to show how old we are all getting. Anyway, it was nice to be able to just rush down in time to see the pastor pronounce them husband and wife. Like really.. me and yx just sit down one minute then it was done! haha.. It was also nice just cos it was over at Anglican High at all saints church.

Although I’ve known her for a good 10 years, she made a sizeable dent mostly in what would have been my mundane upper secondary school life in just 2 short years. Starting with a big smack (figuratively) on my face for attempting to cheat on a test, then I started to go for prayer meetings in the mornings with other Christians and well.. I’m sure we exchanged many conversations that I’ve mostly forgotten about. Through the years of on and off chit chats (during JC and Uni) I’ve learnt a couple of things from her.

1. The journey is more important than the goal for girls (she LOVES to tell super ultra long round-about stories about how God is working in her life and refuse to give me the bottom line when I ask for it)
2. The excitement and emotion of a christian life
3. Sensitivity

Call me crazy but #3 is really quite amusing if you know anything about her. She’s loud, emotive and very vocal about silly stuff and laughs until she cries all the time but when it comes to the important stuff she knows how to shut up, sit down and listen – most times being able to understand and offer sensible advice. That’s really cool stuff everyone should learn to do.

I’m very glad she’s found someone she can spend the rest of her life with. hahaha.. before him, I honestly never thought she’d find someone that would match. Whats more interesting than watching her become what she is today is when she starts to parent her child. LOL. that would be infinitely interesting. Okay.. some pictures of the bride and groom! and well, bern as well. heh..

Ubin trip first, then birthday dinner which I ate at home. Very enjoyable trip.. too short for me though!

Well, today didn’t feel like a sunday at all cos it was so short! Went for youth meeting at Faber/Henderson/Hort park. Was abit tired through the day. My brain is still in a mess and reorganizing itself I believe. I’m doing less thinking and doing more doing these days.

A nice intro came to me this morning for my cousin’s wedding march in. I realise I still have my music legs, just have to get them exercising again. My clarinet doesn’t sound too bad.. for about 5 min then my mouth falls apart. haha! I still love to play though.. just have no easy opportunity to do so. Looking forward to play the cello and piano too.. but I guess there’s just not enough time for everything.

I’m completely busted.. the eating and visiting and early days have completely drained me dry of energy. While everyone goes back to school its still a free day for me so I’m going to sleep early tonight and go out running in the morning. I found out a few things in the last couple of days but its so lame that I can’t find the words to express it. Maybe a fart would do.

Sent yx’s dad off in the morning. Had some nice chinese food at T1 then headed home. Had brunch with family then went to Dr Lee’s place and then went to pastor’s place to disturb them abit then came home for some church ppl gathering at home. After that went to aunty’s place, yx’s place then came home. Wah.. very xiong man. more than 15 hours summarised into 3 sentences.

Picked up my Minolta to finish the roll of Velvia 50. Unloaded it from my Hi-matic E because its too disgustingly slow speed film. I don’t know what to do with it cos I can’t seem to take anything with it la! Always too dark. I’m hoping the f1.4 lens will help abit although it really didn’t do much. Never mind.. I’ll try to find some nice daytime pictures to take. I really don’t like daytime pictures much. Just so.. clear, sharp and boring.

Anyway I ate noodles at night for hte first time in a long time.. haha.. so nice! double egg.. cos the egg so small. Spent a couple of minutes making redscale film after that. Pull all the film out, cut, flip over backwards, stick back, roll everything back in.
