Haha.. saw van’s tag and thought to dig up some images since I’m going to school again tomorrow the next day (ops.. thought it was Sunday already). Sigh.. Now I feel like a car ride to Jurong is so short cos MRT takes infinitely longer. Ate lunch at penang place at the jurong business park place. It was nice.. but I thinkI ate alot. Don’t want to look like this

Slept at 645. woke at 1030. My mom bought a tuna croissant from Ikea for breakfast! ha.. So I finally got to eat it. This is a shot from yesterday when I missed breakfast and ate a smoked salmon sandwich.

Some musings from wed morning at the wilds. Some message but I forgot which one. Dug it out from an unpublished post.
You are not ready to do something for God until you are ready to do anything.
David was ready to do anything and made decisions in the spirit.
David was resolved to do God’s will even though saul was genuinely concerned and tried to talk him out of it. Matt 16:21-23 “get thee behind me satan” he said to peter.
There is no greater security than being in God’s will.
David answered depressing competence with God empowered conquest.
God exalted him with Righteousness.
When God exalts his man:
Righteous exaltation honours God
Righteous exaltation helps/blesses others - David produced a generation of giant killers and God got the glory
Righteous exaltation hides self - 1 Samuel 17:58

Oh well, its one of those long nights again where I feel sleepless and unsettled. Shall do some task organizing for myself so I won’t panic or miss any deadlines.
And I got 53 for my cs2106 midterm, average is 67 all this after marks have been normalised to 100%. Standard deviation is 17%. hmmm.. So I guess I’m still within the normal bounds. Still, its below average. oh dearie me.

Honestly, how many of the troubles I face can be compared to what David was facing? haha.. I’m fretting over nothing! I can only look at God’s faithfulness to him and find my life’s stresses abit trivial. Imagine me saying something like this from Psalm 54:2-3
“Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth. For exams have risen up against me, And tests have sought after my life…”
Ridiculous I know.. but does Jesus care? I know so, cos he said we does. Still, I can’t help but feel like theres so many things I will never get done. I’m really not liking this studies thing very much but I can’t complain.

Ha.. new version! and they turned everything inside out again like they did with 2.1. Don’t really like it very much yet but will have to get used to it because the only way to be secure and stuff is to move forward. Think too many stuffs have been rearranged. I liked the ease of reordering stuff in the write post page last time. Now I’ve more or less have to take the arrangement they give. Still, I guess alot of work’s gone into it. Sigh.. hope it doesn’t break too many of my sites. Now I understand why people don’t update. I only manage less than 10 sites and cannot imagine if they all started breaking cos of a new version. Boo….

One sinful stronghold in a life is enough to take it down. FBI’s been harping on about how Israel did not destroy the little tribes while they were still strong and in turn suffered when they were weak and these same tribes oppressed them. By that time they were unable to get rid of them.
My life feels the same.
Tomorrow its going to be the same long Monday I have each week. Starts with 4 hour lab and ends with 4 hours of thai music with a one hour break in between. I’ve got so much work due. I shall go sleep. Just ran 3k! but feels terrible cos I ate alot an hour before and I’m just abit unfit. Going to wake at 515 and walk to MRT to take the first train out hopefully. Then I won’t need to jostle.
The google maps have been downloading continuously for about 8 hours already. Goodness.. I didn’t know it was that much data. I have this suspicion that I’ll never finish downloading it.

gmapcatcher HAS to be the most awesome thing I’ve seen around so far! It allows google maps to run offline by downloading all the areas you browse using its own browser (not you internet browser). Its still very fresh stuff (released less than a month?) and is written in python. Haha.. its times like this I’m glad I take CS2106. The stuff I do in the terminal for that module is so helpful here. I also realise when the code is open source, I can pretty much do whatever I want with it. Whats more, its really quite a short program and is still quite intuitive to read even though its in a foreign language.
Going to try to make it start at a higher zoom level and centered on Singapore on my own. I wanna use it when (not if) I get lost while driving. Its so much faster than a street directory. I’ve downloaded almost everything up to the second largest zoom level already. That required soooooo much mousework. Worth it I guess.

Nehemiah 8:10: …Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
I just read the few chapters around it and its about when they returned from exile. Anyway, I was so tired from sleeping at 6am that I totally knocked out for the second half of the sermon. It was such a deep sleep that I didn’t even move or start to nod even as I sat upright. Still, God gave me what I needed and this verse came to mind again. I have no “spring” in my step today and was rather tired. Still, no reason to be so dead, I think I could have been more light.
I missed dinner and ate at 10pm, have quite abit more programming to do. Can’t get around to it. The long evening nap leaves me too awake now. Shall sieve through about a thousand lines of code to skinny it down and add some other functions.
