Canon EOS 50D DSLR and the Nikon 90D DSLR wooooooo… haha… its a first! Video from a DSLR. Gross.. and Canon made an idiot camera. Has options in one of the “creative auto” modes that are in plain english like “make background blur” and “Make picture lighter”. haha..

Anyway, left my phone at home today.. so weird and disconnected. Inconvenient at the very least. Took somemore pictures with the Rollei.. one of my class when I demo-ed it to them.. and also one on the MRT platform of some construction workers. I just noticed my wide angle is blurry. haha.. oh well.

I went e-bay mad and spent some time looking at VERY cheap cool stuff! Viewfinder for about $15 plus shipping!! think at most it’ll bid until about $20 and a rangefinder (literally finds the range, not referring to the camera) in MINT condition. I saw it going for $40 but somehow this fella’s shop not in the searches and the start bid is like 5 bucks. So i’m going to try for it nearing the end. Wish me luck! I’ll be at dinner when its due!

Anyway, to cut a super long story short – I wrote in great detail and animation about my new aquisition before my post got eaten up by wordpress. It was about my first step into film photography. Its just too long to write all over again.. sigh.. and I won’t say anything cos it just has to be told in full! with all the gory details! haha..

I sent in my headphones and my camera in for servicing. My two favourite pieces of tech la! Thankfully both should be at no cost.. Its like Missing an arm and a leg. Looks like I have to break out the olympus for a while. Also, I’m looking to buy a nice lensmate for my camera along with a good filter to protect my camera in future. Problem is my camera seems to be getting bigger with so many gadgets.

Yes, I’ve checked everything out and am getting the lensmate. haha.. Now waiting for everything to just come back soon.. Going to pack my room. The two little girls came over to bake cookies. Some photos later.. from ye olde olympus.

A BIG DUST IN MY CAMERA LENS! ARGH! SIAN!

I’ve been looking into a suitable design for our church van and just can’t come up with anything because of the curved lines on the van. That makes it exceedingly hard to put any longer phrases on the side because the phrase can’t really follow the lines. So I went online to look for people who had stuck things on the sides of their dispatch and only found this.

Haha.. that looks abit more radical. But I haven’t thought about putting things on the window. That might actually work! hahaha.. You know, like the bus adverts which you can out of the bus because of the dot dot dot stickers they use.. Anyway, its back to the drawing board for a while before I head off to tj to have sectional.

Went to Udders Ice Cream.

It was great! The Ice cream was reallly fresh and made daily. We walked in and David the Boss gave us a taste of everything about 10 or 12 flavours in all, 6 normal and 6 with alcohol. I tried lotsa stuff.. and ended up ordering a very Very strong Rum & Rasin. I read somewhere else later that 3 scoops = One mug of beer. Haha.. its not that bad la, i really liked it. Add $2 and he slaps the ice cream with a waffle underneath.

YX ordered a strawberry ice cream. Its so fresh you can taste the little bits of strawberry inside. Also ordered on a waffle

We then went to take some board games and played battleship. She got lucky and won. haha..

By some miracle I’m staying in school, I just made the grade! Anyway, these were all easy modules. Quite sian also cos its going to get tougher by alot. Not really sure what else I need to complete as well. Going down to school to find this lady to help me plan out my next 1.5 years. I can’t believe it, I’m actually going to be working an a final year project.

Sometimes when I escape life changing failures by a hair’s breadth, I can’t help but feel like if I don’t take a fall now, it’ll be worse in future. Still, thanking God for everything isn’t out of place to say. Quite happy la, Wonder what the next sem has in store for me.

Watched the second episode of Everest: Beyond the limit season 1 and noticed the sherpa carrying a nalgene the same as mine! haha..

Think its the 1 litre version. I think this series is really interesting. Its just 350mb of the 25gb I downloaded. hahaha.. Still got quite alot in the pipeline. The most awesome is BBC’s planet earth in HD quality. Too bad, no big TV to watch.
