Went for a quick 12k! on a bike that is.. pretty fast way to get sweating! and get thin as well!

Was just wondering if men really need time to be men by actually doing ‘man’ things that we are naturally inclined to. I mean things like working with our hands in addition to the breadwinner role and taking the lead. Perhaps not alot of time but maybe just a little.

I’ve decided to blog abit again because I think although I’ve realized the now and the future are the most important to me, keeping track of where I’ve been really keeps me grounded and humble.

In today’s episode, I managed to

1. blast thinner into my eyes and not go blind
2. clear coat my bike with urine colored clear coat
3. have dinner with the Wangs and Mincys (this one was completely normal thankfully)

Went over with the cousin to the shop to clear coat the rest of the bike. Unfortunately the clear coat is really a light shade of urine colored yellow so over the white bits you really can see that someone pee-d on my bike. Blue is fine though! Its a dark enough color to hide the yellow tinge of the clear coat.

Spent quite a while flushing the airbrush, checking if the cup is the problem and seeing if the clear coat had yellowed but we don’t have an explanation. Well at least the bike doesn’t smell like urine. While flushing the airbrush I blocked the outlet to kinda allow a little air to backflow and bubble into the cup but… it blasted a large amount of thinner into my face. Ouch! It really burned quite bad! flushed my eyes with water for a couple of minutes and felt fine again. Not gonna look into the cup again in future… zzz..

Been working on video editing and am pretty excited at what can be done! just that it takes ages and I’m not too creative with moving pictures. Trying to work on some basic technique to piece my own video together for next year! Hope it turns out fine. Some pictures of the painted un-coated bike.

I’m building a little bike from bits all over the place.
So far I’ve gotten for free:

• a nice steel shimano oldie frame from the 90s
• quill stem
• drop bars
• bottom bracket
• fork

I’ve gotten a bunch of parts from my cousin from a distributer and got a good price on everything, those include

• an SR Royale chain wheel and cranks,
• shimano exage brake levers,
• calipers
• a chromed Tange Headset.

I also picked up from yixuan:

• Shimano RS20 rear wheel

Still missing some

• pedals
• a seatpost
• saddle
• wheels
• chain
• rear cog

I primed it with some brown primer (wish it were white) after using a wire-brush on a drill to strip the existing paint. Going to spray the tubes blue and leave the lugs white.. Here are some pictures.

Had a good time at youth meeting today on the topic of evangelism which we have long forgotten and neglected.
