Well, today didn’t feel like a sunday at all cos it was so short! Went for youth meeting at Faber/Henderson/Hort park. Was abit tired through the day. My brain is still in a mess and reorganizing itself I believe. I’m doing less thinking and doing more doing these days.

A nice intro came to me this morning for my cousin’s wedding march in. I realise I still have my music legs, just have to get them exercising again. My clarinet doesn’t sound too bad.. for about 5 min then my mouth falls apart. haha! I still love to play though.. just have no easy opportunity to do so. Looking forward to play the cello and piano too.. but I guess there’s just not enough time for everything.

My G9 replacement lens has shipped (again) so I can ship everything back together already! Looks like my Nikon f1.4 lens is going to level up to f1.2! har har har.. Nightime and darkness here I come!

Well, I was going thru the forums looking at photos and saw these nice and sharp sharp sharp pictures..

now, these look like they come from a Ricoh GR-1, a real gem and beauty which is a couple of hundred bucks.

But it really came from a camera like the first one on this page.. at $15.

LOL.

So.. anyone still interested in big $$$$ cameras? I’m going down to sungei road to pick up the one I saw last week for $2 when I have the chance.. Hope its still there.

It was an enjoyable day despite the tiredness from 2 hours of sleep.. I slept at 530 and woke at a super late 730 and was almost late to catch a ride to church.

I really enjoyed the message. I was shutting down completely without even knowing it so I went at the back to stand around and drink water.. after which sunday school was also very nice. I think.. I have been illumined by a simple meeting which God has used to steer my thinking and actions quite strongly. The boys were funny and stoning as usual. As much as it is a heavy thing to do, sunday school is really so enjoyable I wonder why I never did it before. It is definitely not the root cause but I think it’s helped me see things in a different way and also encouraged me on in an inexplicable way. I hope I never get used to it.

Bonus blessing of the day (not just for me) was when I recieved an offer for a cheap camera for aunty becky.  The previous seller which I thought was a very good deal already wasn’t replying after I offered $400 instead of $450. I thought he was annnoyed and just ignoring me.. but actually he was just taking half a day to reply me. Had he replied me any sooner I would have bought it at $450 instead of getting the super good deal one which was about $90 lower. Quite a substantial amount when you’re talking about $450-$360. Also, I never thought I could gush about a good camera deal and God’s blessing at the same time so here it is, there’s always a first for everything. hahaha..

Formatted upstairs desktop. Extremely ultra tiredness man. I mean.. I’ve been up for almost 2 whole days with only a short 2 hours nap in between. I definitely need to sleep alot more. Lucky tomorrow no school, my eyes are hurting and my thinking is very slow now..

Attended my sispec buddy’s wedding dinner. Its very interesting how close a relationship can be forged over a tough time like training.. its really something that nobody can take away from us. From being siao-on, getting selected for OCS, digging crazy fire trench around a tree, flying aeroplanes and eating noodles late every night.. now we’re all in our own lives.. and these things are not easily forgotten. Funny is also that William was his colleague and so I sat at William’s table and had a smashing time with his buddies. They were quite mad.. haha..

I’m going to get a shower and then do some reading then go airport. Shall upload photos too…

Been in and out of the Word today. I must say, its nice to steep myself in audio goodness. Message after message on the train is goood. Getting up early tomorrow for the last day of the week. Maybe meeting kane? haha.. thats just one crazy guy I need to get to know abit more.

Gave my minolta srt102 some attention just now and found out that after a light cleaning of the bottom plate it’s meter works! oh man.. 100% mechanical cameras (other than the meter) are just so attractive to me. Shall take out the Rollei to finish up the last few frames of wesley’s birthday roll.

And with that, it just brought to mind what I heard about “delighting yourself” today thats quite obvious but amusing: if you like something it just spills over from you constantly! now the obvious part is over, the amusing starts. haha.. and obviously I delight myself in cameras and photography (more cameras actually..). I’d like to be able to visibly and audibly (to others) be delighting myself in the Lord. I think its infectious and really encouraging for each other.  Think I gush more about how my (or other’s) cameras/lenses work and never really take time to gush about how God works. Kinda “haha” but not so “haha” at the same time. I mean, my priorities are not grossly, wrongly lop-sided but I’d like it to be lop-sided on the correct side so to speak. How lop-sided can you be when you are  siao on about the things of God? Can we ever be too lop-sided? Now that I’ve said lop-sided so many times it looks and sounds weird. Lop-sided. Hahaha.. sounds funny.

Okay la, need to get up for my journey to the west. See you all next time! This place has been quiet but my mind hasn’t. Hopefully it can be guided to buzz in productive activity!

Last night I managed to open the 300mm completely. Its tragic that the glass is etched beyond cleaning and repair.. shall just try it anyway and see how it performs.

Haha, I think many a person have gone through this road I’m going now and I’m sure many paths have been walked which all lead to the same end of the how why and what of sunday school. Was going to power my way through timothy for FBI and the first chapter had me already. 1 Timothy 1:5-7 is what paul tells Timothy in regard to teaching God’s word to others. The goal of the instruction is a “pure heart”, “good conscience” and “sincere faith”, straying from which will result in fruitless discussion and speculation and finally, teachers who teach and assert confidently without knowing what they are talking about (!). Eating with ZG now.. haha.. maybe more later.

I kinda pulled a muscle in my bicep trying to open the lens.. ouch.. it can’t be this hard.. I don’t know what I’m missing!
