I don’t know if I should continue treating my flickr account like a backup place. I would like to upload only my favourite photos and to tag them properly.

I just found myself asking “film or digital?” before going out. Hmm.. digital wins.

The sentence that follows is probably the whole idea of this post, keep that in mind.

It is perhaps slightly upsetting to both me and zg that maintaining the church website in a timely manner is (to make a long story short) indirectly and most possibly just extending this farce by providing a great amount of fodder for nitpicking.

Well, we are all in favour of acountability for our words and actions obviously, firstly and more importantly to God then to each other in a more severely limited way of course. So that aside, the next on the list would be the spirit in which we take action and interpret statements made which do not agree with us or the bible.

The bible clearly tells us that we are to to turn from being front row christians to being back benchers and listen to messages in order to find fault and evidence against our pastor who expresses in speech an opinion (not the gospel) which might be/is wrong. Next, we are to talk about it not with him but with anybody else in the church.. of course, leaving those who seem to be more level headed out. Next, the bible also mentions to excuse such behaviour by saying “but they also do the same thing what”. I think by now you would think I am going abit too far. No.. I didn’t say anyone was doing it right? If you have somebody in mind, be it yourself or another, thats your problem but lets move on and don’t assume the worst of me yet okay okay?

No no.. of course the bible does not say any of that in the previous paragraph! it also does not say to sow seeds of doubt and suspicion by suggesting but not explicitly saying something like I seem to have done in the previous paragraph. We are to be clear and direct. If you still have your head screwed on straight enough to think, that paragraph is only “loaded” (as in, a loaded statement) to the degree inversely proportionate to the amount of love you have for those around you, including your enemies, including me. Yes, they are the enemy whether you want to call them that or not. Most of the time in speech, we deny – but privately we behave as though it were so. Such things should not be! Its hipocrasy and lying! To a spiritual, loving man.. that paragraph would have meant nothing more than sarcasm toward a wrong action/reaction as our beloved apostle paul so loved to do in his epistles.

I must admit through this entire ordeal, I have thought a great deal and learned that looking at people through heaven’s eyes is so important. It is in short, loving those around and nothing more. Even in sin and confrontation, we love and assume the best where we cannot know for sure.

Hence when I maintain the website and zg uploads sermons in a timely manner for all to listen or I offer to burn anyone a copy of last last last last last last last last last… …last week’s sermon (or something like that, goodness knows how long ago). I do it out of a loving spirit, assuming nothing bad is going to come of it and that it is for no other purpose than to encourage oneself or encourage the preacher.

I also hope it edifys you and the word does not go out void (it really doesn’t). Well, if its not the word of God, I hope no error has been made.If error has been made and it turns out to be a matter of opinion or speculation, that love would abound and agreement to disagree made. If it is a matter of the gospel and the one who speaks in error stands by a false gospel, we will throw him out. Plain and simple. No need for long protracted tensions, talkings, meetings, thoughts.. the bible has all the shortcuts to make life work. No need to make it so cumbersome by human wisdom and politics. If the wrong were so clear the whole church would notice and the preacher would be long gone, thrown out like some false prophet preaching the laughing revival. Clearly, it is not so clear.. (sorry for the pun.. lol..) and therefore we need to be careful in what we are thinking, saying and saying in our actions as well (such as sitting behind or not attending service and camps).

The bible speaks so plain and clear that no man can obscure its truth in its wholeness. And if this tune is being sung.. but not applied.. then it is useless to harp on it. Better to follow quietly than to shell out biblical words of wisdom without following. Wholeness also does not only mean just the chapter or book but includes all the overarching principles and precepts already spelt out anywhere else in the bible.

Therefore when one book says our faith is proven by works and another book says justified by grace alone, we know it is harmonious despite its appearance because it is a dual view of the same concept. One views the fruit of salvation where the other views the means of salvation. In the same manner, verses which condemn error and sin to hell are buffered so wonderfully by verses of love, assurance and salvation.. all pertaining to the central topic of the sinner, able to choose which path to take.

Friends, lets look at not just the verses in context, that is not enough! We must also read the principles expressed in the bible in context with other principles in the bible. The lovely and perfect integration of the 66 books are not meaningless and just to prove authenticity, I believe it is more importantly to ensure integriity of its truth by its inseperability so one principle can never be created out of context with the rest of the bible.

So what are my thoughts after this short hour? to put down my tinted lenses once and for all and to “love God and keep his commandments” for this is my all! All! My mission in life is to keep his commandments and his commandments are (thankfully) not burdensome. I love that verse.. It reminds me that when I find his commands burdensome or difficult I am living in the flesh and the flesh is all I need to cast off and not just the behaviour.

I hope you will join me in seeing ourselves and others in a Godly manner and not as mere men. I also hope this has been edifying in some way. I realise on my way home I need to reference all my thoughts more clearly with footnotes complete with references. If not people might just think this is a brain fart from a sleepless young man. It is not.

Started running again.. embarassing pace. Going out  with cheryl later in the evening for dinner then wait for the other cheryl to come back from japan. All with YX. Did I forget to mention that? I’ve been so quiet and all these few days. I wonder what I’m thinking.

Interesting evening again as usual.. I notice my left eye recovers its sharpness after I cover it up and don’t use it at all. So I guess its not really the lazy eye.. its the tired eye.

After 24 years of 20/20 perfect vision, I think I might be becoming short sighted in my left eye. Shall stay off computer for the next few days. lol..
