Other Things

G9 LCD Screen Broke..

So while all 3 cameras were in the same bag in seperate, padded compartments, my dad’s rollei decided to show who’s boss my giving my G9 a broken LCD window with a solid little lug the wrist loop is connected to. Well, at least the screen itself isn’t broken, just the plastic over it.

Quite abit of googling and looking around later I found a new one for about $15 in total and took my camera apart just to see if it would be DIY-able. Its really quite simple actually.. and next time I could even change the lens assembly and other crazy parts myself if it ever spoilt.

So there.. my poor camera.. again kena for nothing. Check out the crack and the naked camera.

I got 17/20 for the quiz I mentioned earlier. God is like how nice and merciful la. Was telling ya ling during sunday school I haven’t reached the point where I get bad news and straightaway can release it to God’s control. I’d like to be able to do that.

All Forgotten

Psalms 103

8The LORD is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever.
10He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
11For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
12as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

This always comes to mind when I, like a faulty computer program, get stuck in an infinite loop mulling over injustice, halftruths and untruth. Breaking out of it involves asking myself “God has forgiven and forgotten it, why can’t you?”. God has removed it and cast it as far as the east is from the west. Have you? Or is our memory better than God’s? Our strictness bigger? Our mercy smaller?

Liars and Hypocrites

Well, the only thing worse than Liars and hypocrites, is realising I can’t really condemn them because I (at some point or another) have been one before somehow and so have you. Still… sigh. This one need the big grace of God to let it pass.
