The works of the flesh and the fruit of the spirit
Went through the whole book of Galatians on the way to school. I think I’ve read it many times but each time is different. This time is the weirdest cos I start to feel like I’m reading it on my own, without any preconception of what paul was trying to say, challenging every notion thats so ingrained in me already such as the flesh, the spirit, the role of the law and the work of Christ and how both cannot exist together. One of the things I noticed he says is “the works of the flesh” and “the fruit of the spirit”.
Truly, the flesh can only work, but the only the spirit will cause us to bear fruit.
No branch works to produce fruit — abiding with the trunk automatically causes it to do so.
Shall leave the lab now and head to lunch with ZG and joel. Apparently he’s been working at university hall since Monday.. going for lecture at 2 then heading home.
