The Ancient TJ Alumni

Had a crazy zany time with the ancient TJ band alumni on saturday night. They went for supper after practise. It was mad! haha.. anyway, the pieces look quite good. I’m glad I went down because its really great. Player wise its not like super skilled.. but I feel the cumulative experience is very great and somehow its like a well oiled machine and I’m just a new cog in the system.

The Delayed Effects of Working Out

What it feels like after a workout.

1 min – hurting

10min – tired

1 day – ache

But the thing thats really delayed is the overall effects like muscle mass, fat loss, weight gain/loss. In fact, my slacking last couple of weeks are showing already in another area. Feeling lethargic again after a week or two of energy. I was wondering why I don’t fall asleep in sermons and lectures anymore last couple of weeks. I think its because I exercised alot. haha.. Started regular exercise again a few days ago. Hopefully I shall see some tangible results in a while. Honestly, its not easy to get into a regime. Tend to slack when I see even abit of results. Shall sleep early too. Going to have a long day tomorrow

  • Go to Jaben with William
  • Write essay/report/debug program while he does his stuff
  • go down to TJC to play for band. Want to pick up my clarinet again.

I shall blog some other thoughts I’m having after more extensive research and experimentation on myself. Can we rely on experience? I guess “No” in the sense that we cannot exalt our own experience above any revealed revelation but yes, it is a decent indicator combined with the discernment of God. Still, I think what FBI had to teach about God’s will in questionable areas is the best – Do what is already revealed to you, then the parts which are unrevealed might start to become clear.

Awesome Concert

Just came back from this SSO concert. Shirley called me after her lesson with TXP and asked me if I wanted to see him play. Its free anyway! hahaha.. So i grabbed my stuff and went out in time for the second half, kinda glad I didn’t waste my time with the first (contemporary rubbish). It HAS to be the most awesome concert in my recent years. The audience was pleased.. because the clapping was so long the conductor came out 4 times! haha.

Anyway, it was a ballet score written in the middle of the 20th century based on Romeo and Juliet. It was really really lovely and so well written. Maybe I know the story intimately thats why I understand.. but I really think the composer did a great job writing such beautiful music.

After that TXP sent Shirley then me home. ops, so malu. I’m going off to mess with my PootyPod! :) :)

Ma Yue is playing his clarinet (first time I’ll be hearing it) next week Friday. Anyone wants to go? :)

On the Correctness of Girls Asking Boys Out

Ha… its from this guy’s blog. a relative of John Piper I should think. Who’s stillborn baby girl was delivered 6 months ago causing this easter post recently featured here. He’s even got that quote pastor printed for his office.

The Desiring God blog comes from a pretty hardcore guy but overall, a stirring read. I’ve never said anything was “a stirring read” before. Not to say that nothing was before. Appropriate nonetheless. I like this post about the pastor’s accountability thing. Really brings 1 Corinthians 10:12 to life.

You’ll notice that the “On the Correctness of Girls Asking Boys Out” only contributed one word to this post. lol.
