Where were the real christians in the medieval times? ie. 500ad-1500ad? I was reading “The End of Faith” by author Sam Harris(read to see what he thinks) and the terrible things these so called christians did to people. Like the witch hunts, the inquisition and also about how the word “almah” should be translated as “young lady” and not “virgin” as the famous verse “behold a virgin shall conceive…” in Isaiah 7:14 and how we should doubt that any book is divinely inspired and we should argue with evidence.

Generally the book just blasts major religions and attributes the problem of terrorism to our beliefs. Not only christianity, but islam and others as well. Of course, we can say it was the roman catholics that did all that in the middle ages and excuse it away.. but still, the question is where were the christians as we know it today? If Luthor (whom many scholars agree was like.. super anti-jew) didn’t get those 95 statements out, would we even exist? But at the same time, Christians don’t just mean the christians as we know it today with nice churches and all.. I’m sure there were people who were really saved during the time rome fell till the time when protestant christianity appeared. So.. where were they and what were they doing? busy running away from roman catholic persecution? This is so puzzling because in another 1000 years.. will Christianity look anything like it does today? And if it does change.. would that mean that I believed in something erroneous?

That said. I’d also like to highlight the fact that the bible was starting to get in circulation to the common people by 1550 and that resulted in the eradication of almost one millenia of so called “Christian” brutality, murder, torture and geonocide. Not too bad eh?

Still.. where were we in the middle ages?

hahaha… my 8th generation junior concert master. I think I freaked her out last last year during the esplanade thing when I kept calling her name for fun. She’s so cute! haha.. Anyway, quite smart la she, went RJC. All (or maybe most) my juniors got l33t playing skillz man.. its madz! I feel scared playing with them. Then the 4th generation Concert master took the baton after I took over Stephanie.

HA! Guess what, we all from clarinet section! haha.. So Me + 4 gen = Shirley, Shirley + 4 gen = Steph.

I found out recently alot of people aren’t into taking photos. Like.. they think I’m mad because I have a camera with me all the time besides the fact its big, chunky and not some fashion accessory. They have very low self confidence and hate to take photos cos they feel very ugly. Okay.. thats kind of a long shot to say but thats generally the idea. Anyway I’m off to bed.. oh my, its been so long online and I’ve discovered how much I love sleep nowadays,

For 27 hours, I didn’t log on to my computer! haha.. I think, its a force of habit to carry it around. I think I did much better in school without it as well. Haha.. time to leave it at home.

Why speak truth in the heart? and not with the lips or tongue or to others? Does it mean to be honest with yourself? or to meditate on the truth in your heart?

I’ve been terribly lazy this sem. I’m going to print out ALL my notes (not much anyway.. one module??) and start a notebook straight away!

The title is kinda silly.. because linux doesn’t need anti virus, it IS the anti virus! haha.. Anyway, I have just been saved from some silly msn virus (courtesy of Shirley’s msn, courtesy of her friend..) by using linux. I clicked the stupid link, but obviously it doesn’t work in Linux.. but it kinda messed up my WINE installation. Since its a Windows Emulator kinda thing.. still, I am still grateful I’m not sending out virus links without me knowing.

Sleeping late really makes you lethargic, I think I’m going to sleep early tonight. Ubuntu seems to be pretty good.. and most simple programs like notepad++ can be run under wine as if it were in windows. So cool. Okay, I have to go sleep so I can skype these 2 people that I’m going to be working for. Small project la.. Still got time.

The latest version of ubuntu - gutsy gibbon works out of the box on my laptop! Every single piece of hardware! (I think) This is so awesomely cool.

…is life. Went down to donate with Bernice then her body wimped out at the last moment. Low blood iron! wah man.. so I went to donate alone. It never struck me how big the needles were until now. When I saw it I was like.. WAH.. Thats big. Haha.. wonder why I never thought that before. Anyway I got done with that and then went to school to finish downloading matlab. I’m still coding for tomorrow, have to submit by midnight… wah.. terrible! stupid sudoku solvers.. so many out there still ask us write another one.
