Headaching since 11am. Sigh.. even a nap from 2-5 couldn’t take care of it. Maybe its a stress headache. Whatever the case, My exams seems to be pretty much doomed from the 3rd paper. One after the other increasingly hard. I’ve been thinking of what I can do without a degree. I’d have to start a business. Oh boy.. thats just so.. daunting. But more fun and flexible than working for someone I guess, just with the added stress of actually making profit.

After TheGreatSze commented just now, I went to look at some of his videos and saw some funky bass videos. I shall now reveal that I had a secret aspiration last time to play the funky bass like this
Partly cos of this bass solo (at 2:34 if you dowan to listen through the whole thing) so long ago somewhere in the middle of the song “the rain must fall” that inspired me.
Of course, an electric bass would look pretty suspicious in the house so I never got around to buying one. I did.. however, almost play it in band, but never on stage. I chose a clarinet solo over it in the end. hahaha.. So the concert some people came.. I think it was felicia, charissa, shawn, shirley and some other person I cannot remember..
I still think the bass guitar is a great instrument and there are acoustic ones! No need to play them funky though.. they are a great replacement for plucked string basses in a small ensemble. Wanted to get for church before. But nobody would play. haha..
I had a couple of Yanni CDs from sec school which I must say fueled my enjoyment of music in general. Its nothing classical can provide. Makes me laugh as I think back of what I thought about as I listened to all this. Yanni’s piano music was always quite contemplative and sentimental.
As I took out my CD player last week I just had to pop in these CDs which I haven’t heard for super long. After a brief listen, it kinda brings me back to the year 1998. Specifically. Heh..
Anyway, I find my taste for music changing again. Its strange cos the radio is just so noisy now.. even the oldies are annoying. Even when I turn it on just to find out about traffic its unbearable. Band music also. I think.. I need some silence for a while now. And a whole load of good christian music thats been lacking in my life. I don’t like to listen to them as white noise thought.. I prefer to really listen to them when I play it. Its of no value otherwise right?
edit: horrors! He has degraded himself to this lousy beaty music! ahhhh…

Hi, managed to go down to children’s camp to hang around on YX’s birthday. Anyway, I’ve hit a really large wall with regards to study. I can’t get anything in! Its too hard to understand! Oh man. By this time tomorow I’ll be finishing up my ee2007 paper, waiting for the collection.
On a lighter note, I drove the van! Haha.. twice today. Its really quite easy to drive. Quite safe also cos its so slow. Suspension is terrible though.. lucky I was the only one inside when I felt like I flew off my seat going over the small hump. haha.. I grabbed it to go eat bak chor mee.. managed to sit down eat, have a drink and get out within the 15 min grace period. Not bad eh?
Anyway, the photos I took today are weird. I think its because I took it at -0.7ev. The colours look so dull and flat despite the colourful subjects. Weird.

I am now going to be about $1300+200+200 poorer. But the better side is that all my data got recovered! pretty much all of the 200gb. After this going to have to get 2 drives to use. One to back everything up, the other to use on a normal basis. Prob going to share with my dad. Wah man, expensive lesson. I realised the good part about getting double of the drives, is that with a 5year warranty, you could just change it for free.. then your data would still be backed up in the other. Sigh..this would have been so much cheaper to just get 2 from the start. A whole $1500 cheaper.

I am so building on of these when my exams are done. My project list is getting too long!

Somehow missing it doesn’t affect me at all. Just like the past 4 years or so, I’m unable to come and stick around full time. Well, I used to look towards the camps with anticipation and so much excitement. Staying overnight, with friends, fooling around (when they children aren’t looking), playing games.. Of course, if you like someone in church, who can deny enjoying being around the girl(s)/guy(s) you like for 5 WHOLE days? haha.. I know I did. I mean, you understand what I mean la. Its just an extra on the side, not the main thing for you hopefully.
Girls - Check out the guys who clear rubbish/clean toilet/take care of kids automatically.. haha.. certainly a good place to get your dream guy
All that aside, I think I really missed the whole point so many times over. In fact, I was not burdened for their salvation very much. At least, not enough to be thinking and praying about it all the time. Which I really think is so so important. We can run and help out all we want but the whole point is to sow the seed and if God is willing, reap it as well.
Seeing the youth mature, (I mean relatively compared to the past) I guess they will be fine handling all the work. It still amuses me that kids who can’t take care of themselves very well are taking care of others peoples kids - but who can blame them? Nobody was born an adult (*ouch* for mommy if that happened). Haha.. that was a joke. Really. Take time to learnĀ and listen from old ppl kiddos!
Anyways, it doesn’t matter than none of you willl read this but I’ll be praying for all of you over there at children’s camp! 5 whole days I’ll be thinking of you all!

We went to the mushroom pot! Well, it was fun at first and so nice! so many many mushroom! And then we went for the buffet. Then they guy kinda conned us la, kept pushing food at us. Anyway, it wasn’t fun anymore once the bill came. I was totally stuffed and then wasn’t so happy with the quality of the food. After that we just went back home on the MRT just like how we did it last time. Nowadays drive here drive there.. so different. Pictures of the food here

Anyway I’m ultra tired now. Going to pack up all the church property and bring tomorrow.

This guy has to be the funkiest blind man.. His guitar playing skillz are so cool. Don’t you notice the photos are so much brighter than physically possible? Heh.. I think its due to the pumped up contrast and saturation tip I read online for my c5050. Its works pretty well. I caught this at ISO125. Thats crazy considering how yellow and dark it was.
After I walked away. I was thinking this is such a plain angle. Since he’s blind, I could have really taken him at any distance or angle I pleased and still not feel awkward. Oh well..
I decided to start a “today’s photo” kinda thing. Of course, it won’t be a daily thing. Its just to practise my photography all over again. I don’t expect everything to be great quality due to equipment (which actually is pretty decent already) but I think I’d like to work on composition and play with colour in photoshop. Right now my trusty c5050 is in great shape. With a 128MB CF card in combination with a 256M XD card (yes my camera can use BOTH at the same time! and optionally, a Smart media card if you lived in the stone age and owned one), its more than enough because I don’t take tons of photos and I empty them out at the earliest chance I get. I hate to let photos pile up and get disorganized. I also hate it when photos don’t have “date taken” data. It makes it so hard to sort.
