So much work… dunno where to start? I’ve still got time. I’m quite happy about that. Going for lecture now! But not after listening to this nice thing we sang in april.

Well, the previous post was because ppl ask how come I never go sunday school then nobody say me then say them. I got all nervy when I heard that and grossly overreacted on hearsay. Honestly the previous post was originally very mean to Theron but nobody gets to read that and I can only be ashamed before God to be so presumtious and unreasonable when he already took steps to not react to my accusations.

Anyways a simple call and apology made everything all fine and dandy between us. I believe I have failed once again. haha.. but I’m doing very well in the apology department it seems. I think as the people get closer to me the harder it will be to apologise. Lets hope that never happens with my family or what. I want to lvl up and totally avoid the apology thing altogether. If I don’t even wrong anybody I won’t have to apologise! and some wrongs cannot be made right by an apology.. thats the whole danger.

Which brings me to the title of this post. With all the sermons on unity I start to realise theres so much friendly fire going on when the devil is really outside the body of christ and thats where we should be firing. Hell is just behind a gate, waiting to be smashed in by christians who are evangelising the lost, not shooting themselves constantly. I almost shot and injured my brother but thankfully these things only make relationships stronger and more accomodating. Lesson learnt, put behind and moving on. Sigh.. Back to engineering electromagnetics!

Well, I haven’t been attending sunday school for at least 3 or 4 weeks. Its feels like a long long time really. So, the multi million dollar question is: Why? Simply put, I go out to study or get stuff pertaining to school done.

Now before I get burned at the stake I shall not bother to justify but rather, share with you all some things you won’t understand until you’ve been through it.

• I’m really lousy at study
• I’m not doing well at school
• I need not just more time, but more focused time. Increasing the amount of time I work increases the amount of time I can focus.

Now, some would see this as putting the things of the world above that of God. I put to you, that my studies is 100 times if not 1 million times more important than service in any form in church. Why? Imagine telling my prof “oh.. I failed 4 out of 6 modules last sem cos I was too busy at church”. Come on la, what kinda testimony is that? The things I do in church is all replaceable! Setting up projectors? Cmon.. that stupid thing the children’s helpers do every single week without any kind of help! Soundman? Kok Wing, Henry Lee SK, Joel, Yi Xuan all can do in a heartbeat. Why am I killing myself over the cantata thing? BECAUSE I HAVE COMMITTED TO IT. So simple. Kwan Yann Howe is not indispensable.

Why is studies important to me? BECAUSE IT IS MY TESTIMONY. Not cos I can have a job next time, not cos I can get ahead of all the other rats around in the rat race. I bet everyone’s heard the phrase “LIFE IS MINISTRY”. My primary ministry now, is my life and studies as a student. That is why I go to study. I have 3 hours of bible school via FBI every single week and about 17 chapters worth of reading each week including Wilmingtons Guide. You think your sunday school very long ah? I do more sunday school than 90% of the church loh, along with so many others who still do attend sunday school on sunday!

So there. NOW can I skip sunday school? Sorry for like.. all the mess.

It really is. I don’t know where to start with my work. I shall start with the Lab questions but before that.. Some photos of my day. Some friends I miss and missed out for quite a long time.

Well, its only my parents and me, my grandma and the maid left in the house. I kinda think its really quiet and all already. Sigh.. Kinda bored. I wanna go sleep right now but I feel like I’m missing something. I want to play sports on mondays but now its so far and I go alone.. So I guess its not really possible.

On a seperate note. I asked for wisdom today and got it. Wisdom differs so much from intelligence I noticed, even though you know there is this difference, its another thing to experience the difference. More love to thee.. and others around I pray..

Me and YX had a great time with Charissa.. even if it was just slacking at carls junior for so long and then walking around aimlessly and looking at clothes. I’m really tired.. have lab tomorrow at 9 and I want to sleep well and do well. I dunno if I should do a 6am drive to school again? I dowan to spoil myself though. Oh dear.. I’m lagging behind in my work and the commitments are bearing down on me soon.  Whats left is..

Hmmm.. I really need to not just catch up but GET AHEAD for my school work in order to have any time to serve in the later half of this sem.

I shall retire to my bed.. get good rest after praying. I want to pray more, but its like a day by day thing. One day good one day no good. Worse than stock market. Better not get caught in web of slackness and feeling like I have nothing wrong.

I have a new-found appreciation for bag makers and their pricing.

Okay, I’m done with the bag. I’m pretty happy with the basic idea of it though it is completely feature-less for now. I just realised how hard it is to just get the basic shape of the bag, let alone adding pockets and stuff.. This bag only has a main compartment, 2 medium pockets and one large one behind those 2. The velcro I put at the sides as an afterthought, but it works quite well. Except for the fact the stitching might tear cos its like.. one loose item sticking out. Also, material-wise its silly cos you have to add two things instead of just sewing the velcro to the cover, thus saving you a little cloth and having to sew less. There are less lines of weakness in the design too.

Looking at the bag, its just too ghetto to carry out for everyday use. But that said, its just the test test. I used a piece of banner I had from last time (BFC labour day outing groundsheet) instead of waiting on they vinyl cos I thought it’ll be better to just get the main idea first before squandering nice new vinyl on it. I’l use it the next time I go outfield during ICT. I’m serious.. haha.. think messenger bags are quite shiok for medium items if in SBO attire. I mean.. last time I had to fight with the stupid sec comm bag all the time. So tiny and carry so many things and so hard to take stuff out. If i wanted to take something out, i had to take EVERYTHING out. SAF should consider using messenger bags. haha..

Well, went spotlight and beach road to get

• Reflective tape

It took 2 hours again. I used the belt as a strap and made it removable via velcro so I can use it on other bags. I also managed to make the velcro pocket. Its too ultra strong.. takes bear strength to pry open. haha.. So silly. I’m missing my key holder, a little lanyard I’m going to sew to the bag and have a buckle attached to so I can attach my keys to it and remove it when I use it. So thats that. I’m just waiting on the vinyl, hem the edges and I’m done! =)

Well, I was tired of studying.. sigh.. needed a change so I broke out the sewing machine! Oh man.. I haven’t touched it since the time I made my moo moo laptop cover.

I think I like sewing, just that I’m a little too impatient. Anyway, I banged together the initial outsides, I’m going to get some vinyl and make the inside nice and plastic like my manhattan portage. I broke the needle twice.. haha.. the thing is just too thick and this machine isn’t really an industrial strength one.. I have to go buy some needles when I’m free. Also have to get some high quality thread like the ones I used on me and yx’s pencil cases. Why is it so butt ugly now? All the edges you see are going to be covered up, the inside is going to be totally covered by vinyl. The only ugly ugly is the pockets outside which I cannot hide the seams. Anyway, I’m liking how it is. The cut’s a little strange cos I din really cut it properly.. but thats the point of this bag.. to just see what mistakes I’ll make. For the record, this is ONE army pants. haha.. cool right! The leftover I see what I can do. Like this I can make about 4 more to practise.
