Emo Christians Are Weak
While listening to today’s FBI lesson, he touched on a verse which I never saw in this light before!
“…Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Obviously (or maybe not so obviously) I’m not trying to antagonize anyone. Being depressed and moody is a state we all fall into. Falling into it is human, living there is wrong. When was the last time you saw a moody, depressed christian ministering to people? Who wants to be a christian when every living specimen around seems to have had the life sucked out of them? So.. not to be a critic only, how do we have the Joy of the LORD? I honestly have no answers off the top of my head.

Haha. Don’t we all have the joy of the Lord?
Deep down inside, the fact that we are saved- Saved! From satan, sin, doubts, fears. And the promise of Eternal Life with our Mighty God and Heavenly Father..
Even though we might be depressed / frustrated etc, we still have that joy, “Deep down in (our) Hearts”.
Thats my favourite song

Sadness can co-exist with Joy but depression can’t. Because the very definition of depression is a despondency and despair which no “joyful” christian should ever have. Therefore I conclude depression and Joy are mutually exclusive and cannot be together.

Haha.. But that is unless you are REALLY depressed to the bottom of yr soul, what. At least, thats what i think. Many use words without knowing much what they mean either- it becomes a slang… haha like “emo”. Im talking about myself..now “emo” for me has become a habit- if im sad, angry, frustrated..i say “im emo”.
Which, of course, im trying to change lah. haha..
