All Exams Are Done
Anyway as the title suggests, I’m all done. I think its better than last semester as far as the stress goes, all by God’s grace. Its so different when seeing it like this. As the holidays approach, I think I need even more grace.. not to waste my time but do something useful.
A few things I note after this exam:
- I can function at a reasonable level on less than 2 hours of sleep
- Naps help
- Coffee is best to supplement and support this behaviour
- Support from friends is so important even when we feel like isolating ourselves
- Above just being friends, Christian support is so much more important
I’m going to sleep and wake up early tomorrow. I’ve been up since 2am today after napping the evening (20.5 hours awake already!) and I feel my body has become totally numb to tiredness. I can work for more than 36 hours at a decent alertness before crashing for about 10-12 hours. Sometimes 6+2 hours is enough for 2 day’s worth of sleep and I can get up. I believe it is the ultra potent coffee I drink at the stall outside my hall.. sigh.. I will miss it so… There’s this toasted bun dug out in the middle with a half boiled egg cracked inside. Slap a cheese on top and then toast it and there you have a wonderful breakfast!
I’m just thankful everything has passed. Its relief and happiness. Not a crazy happy but just thankful glowing happy.
To do:
- Make a habit of getting up before the sun to run or read or do whatever
- Plan what I want to do before I sleep so I don’t waste my time
- Make a nightly post on whether I woke up early and what I need to get done the next day
- Form running habit
I say habit because humans are creatures of habit. I read that it takes 2 weeks to beat a habit into our beings.. I’m going to run everyday for 2 weeks before the sun comes up. Starting tomolo? Haha.. I have this feeling I’ll sleep cos I’ve been conditioned to do that for months already. Nevertheless, you will hear about it and I shall blog about habit forming soon.
