Photodump - Shuyi’s Birthday BBQ Edition!!

Just had a birthday BBQ for Shuyi with her social work friends. 23. We’re getting old man. After that went to find Cheryl at the industrial design side give her some BBQ food and helped her clean up an ice thong she was working on.

I just realised how disinterested I am in engineering. Sigh.. Every other faculty works so much less and that’s an undeniable fact! Having a BBQ one month before exams is like totally unimaginable for me and these final year social work students have a presentation the next morning and they can play until 10 something. Why engineering so chao piah one?? I’m like totally turned off by it. What am I supposed to be learning here? What am I supposed to do for God here? What will I achieve after all this? I really don’t want to be an engineer if it means anything remotely like what I’m studying now. Statistics, signals, mathematics, electronics, semiconductors.. And if its nothing to do with these, then what’s the point of cramming it into my brain?

This shows only one thing when thinking what you want. Look before you leap. You might just land in a puddle of unpleasant waste. Studying something you don’t like for 4 years and paying to torture yourself.

Said his friends assumed he was christian until one day they realised otherwise and brought him to church. He’s actuall 2 years my senior and was from scouts which i quit in sec 1. Best move in my life{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Got her a silly cowboy party hat she wore the entire evening. I met Amelia (x2), one of them from my primary and secondary sch… said I gained alot of weight (thanks man..){Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Shuyi acting sweet..{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} We hid at Fratello’s cos Shuyi thought she was having dinner there.. then they suprised her.{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Kenny and I worked at the fires with Gerrad{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Kenny + Charlotte{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Ah-This-Tea, Ke Ying, Kenny, Amelia, Charlotte{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Hansel, Ke Ying, Charlotte, Amelia{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Sitting around talking nonsense and playing number guessing games with the leftover food..{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Heh.. somemore nonsense{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} My marshmallow dropped into the fire la! haha.. it looked quite funny{Shuyi’s_birthday_BBQ} Kenny and Charlotte with their banana guns.. Hmm.. I think I really enjoyed myself tonight. I felt like I had friends, if only for 3 meaningless hours. Something which feels so foreign after 2 years in engineering. Sigh.. I’m just very sad.
