The Wilds - Day 2

ARGH! Page refreshed and I’m now typing everything again. Blah.

Anyway I had 2 messages back to back in the morning, went for a music reading session where they sight read music and the publishers got to show their newer songs and stuff. Then was lunch. After that we went to the specialty classes, david went to a great conductor’s class. I went to listen to fred coleman sharing his 5 week program for choirs to gather a large repertoire for the pastor to select songs to complement his message. David and I had a small discussion about this quantity over quality. Now I understand how come spiritual disagreements can end so ugly and people start fighting. Anyway, saying nasty things about other people and fighting with each other still seems retarded to me. Disagree and wanna split just shake hands and leave loh. haha.. sigh. Anyway After the specialty class I went for a strings reading session. The publications by pinner publications were really great. I bought about $40 of music. Cello + Violin duet, violin solos, string quartets.. many titles. Talked to Bryan Pinner about instruments (more later). Bought 5 CDs today - $50 (yes, all USD), another 4 last night I think. Lotsa piano scores as well. Both simple and hard Hard HARD stuff. Going to buy some woodwind stuff tomorrow I think, I’m participating in the reading with my clarinet. Playing for these readings is more like a service to others at the camp because they can hear the pieces being played and then make a buying decision. I think I’m not going to get too many, don’t see any woodwinds other than myself and shirley around and its not really her 1st instrument anyway. Had dinner with Cheryl Webb, then now we’re in another reading session. I’m sorta shut off cos my throat is like itchy like siao and I’m wearing sandals too cos of my foot rot. Its getting really bad. Now my skin is totally raw between the first two toes. There’s no skin la! Anyway just hope it dries out over the next 3 days because I’ll have to wear shoes after that.
