New York, New York! – Day 2

Well, I updated the previous post with a little photos. Today’s post is just going to be text – Photos are too many! Goodness.

Breakfast at a real diners
Carnegie Hall
Kate’s paperie
Central park
saw liberty island
Trinity Church
Ground zero
Ate philly steaks
Broadway theatres – les miserables and such
Gargantuan Toys ‘R’ Us
Roberto’s Music Shop
Walk back to hotel

I have to keep track of all this, intend to do a flash thingy for myself.

Anyway we both are glad only two of us came for a number of reasons.

  • This place is dodgy/not safe
  • We did some crazy stuff already
  • We walk alot alot alot

Yeah, so its kinda great that only we two came. I can’t imagine taking care of anyone younger than me, much less girls. Anyway, we’re kinda getting tired of new york. Its quite nauseating to keep seeing city sights and moving around. Too much yin already, need some yang to balance.. haha..

New York, New York! – Updated

Safe and sound in New York! The trip was pretty funny, shall go into details next time. I’m eating at a pizza place now, the portions are just HUGE! Can’t add pictures cos my card reader is pretty inaccessible now. David’s making a call to the hotel now to find the easiest way to go while I make a quickie post here. I’ve already taken a ton of photos. Mailed a postcard to ben and I’m about to leave. Will update with photos when I can get to my pictures in the camera.

Now for a photodump!! Big one! Took me ages. Don’t expect this kinda numbers all the time! I also captioned everything.. I’m so tired I fell asleep a few times doing this. Good night and good morning people.

Ice Skating then Flying off!

I’m flying off in exactly 4 hours. Went ice skating just now, must say it was pretty fun, just that I’m not so great at it. Eu and YX fell down. Doing last minute stuffing now. I’m really quite tired actually, fell asleep on the floor just now. This is quite exciting to go to the wilds again but I must say I’m not completely prepared.. Pray for me and david as we go that we find a clear purpose and do exactly what we need to do there.

Ecclesiastes 12

13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.

14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.

Boxing Day

Ah forget it, the little m600 is ridiculous. I can safely say that wifi on a handheld device to surf the net is a gimmick. It would be useful to make voice over IP calls and checking email though. I don’t do both so not going to bring them to the US.

Anyway, alot of people were at my place. After Children’s camp debrief, we ate and played board games then played polar bear. Which I must say was much better than the last time joshua attempted to introduce it to us. I’m so tired, I’m going to die. Anyway had a damp day with dampening news but I’m fine I guess. I know I had it coming anyway.

On a lighter note, my lappy’s fine! The guy called at about 6 and told me to collect tomorrow. Sweet lappy here I come!

M600 Reloaded

First post on this device!

It can take photos too but its really slow and troublesome. My laptop is at the service centre and I’ll probably get it back tomorrow.

I just tried to post a photo but the browser requires iframe support. argh. haha, this is a joke.

0003 hrs

Christmas is over. Well, it was a very strange day for me because an orignially meaningful/special/sacred day just turned into a ‘blah’ day. It was just.. a sub-normal day. I’ll do a photodump when I’m in the mood. My lappy has to go for surgery. The poor lcd screen hinge is busted. Makes a snapping sound everytime it’s open.. Also going to get rid of this stupid dust mark behind the screen (see pictures).

{laptop}{laptop}

I’m leaving for the united states in 3 days. Will be flying off on the 28th at 9pm. I’m not exactly sure when I’ll go there. Just ask me and I’ll probably know what to tell you.

Christmas Eve 2006

To church in the morn, back home to prepare home for night gathering, to church again for evening service and to sing, back home for gathering.

I got to drive! But I must say I’m really lousy at directions no matter how many times I’ve seen or travelled along routes. Things just don’t register. I cannot visualise myself any further along the route which I currently am on which is really quite serious. Sigh, don’t think I’ll ever get used to it.

Children’s Christmas Party Decorations!

I think it still looks quite quite blah.. but anyway, here’s how I spent the afternoon.

We sprayed the baloons gold and hung them up here and there to dry, packed up goodie bags, put up these streamer thing-ys and stuck the baloons up as well.
