The recital was amazing.. At least it impressed me more than the one on sat. That was dismal quality from a music conservatory cos I’ve seen sec sch bands WAY better as a collective.
Anyway about the recital.. the girl playing was a first year student and she was GOOD. Well, not perfect but I liked what she played because it felt musical and soothing. Technicaly good but not to the point it became robotic good. Her phrasing, breathing - all so effortless and spot on. Dynamics varied well through the piece too. Incidentally I already had a recording of it so i wasn’t listening to something I didn’t already have a benchmark tocompare with.
This all makes me want to practise more and go get a grade 8 but for the moment I shall concentrate on VHDL programming, Circuit design and my cs1102c lab6 due on thursday.
Lastly I shall post a verse which sort of lands itself into what programmers call an infinite loop.
James 1:21-23 (New King James Version)
Doers—Not Hearers Only
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
